You can do whatever you want to do. Nobody can stop you. But then again, should you do everything you want all at once? Isn’t focusing your attention on one thing at a time more effective than dividing your attention amongst several things? Is there anything you can do to help improve your focus

How To Achieve Complete Focus

What does it mean to achieve complete focus? It is not just about being able to do and finish everything you want. It is also about exploring the things that you can be. 

In a world where you can be anything, you should focus on becoming someone of whom you can be proud. Wanting to do a lot of things in a day can be fulfilling but exhausting at the same time. You may feel good when you can tick as many items in your to-do list for the day as you did; however, you are also drained of your much-needed energy. 

When it feels like you want to do everything or achieve a lot of things, here are some things to think about first:

Identify the urge to push yourself: is it good or bad? 

What is it that you really want to do first? If you notice that you want to do everything or be everything, then allow yourself to work with it. The urge will always make you feel like you want to do more. But the more that you understand the urge, the easier it is for you to identify what should be done first and what could take the back seat for now. 

Take note of its implications in your life. 

When you indulge yourself in doing a particular task, make sure that you understand the extent of its ramifications in your life. Will it leave you feeling stressed? Does it make you feel overwhelmed, or does it leave you feeling unsatisfied? Make sure to engage yourself with activities that bring about positive impacts to your life and in the lives of those around you. 

Practice restraint, no matter how difficult it may be. 

If you can choose not to indulge yourself in activities that take so much of your time, then do so. You can be curious about it for now. You can stay with the thought of it for a minute or two. But then, you have to learn to let go when they need to focus arises. Always choose to do what is best for everyone. 

How Do You Find Time To Do Everything In Life?

Perhaps you, too, are wondering how to get what you want in life. Like everyone else, you want your life to be perfect. You want it to turn out the way you have always pictured it in your head. You have a lot going on in your life, and you made sure that you will always be in control. You’ve got a lot on your plate, and still, you enjoy doing everything all together. 

Now how do you find the time to do everything that you want to do? The truth is that you give up a few perks in life so that you can do the many other things you wish to do. To be able to put in more time at work, you give up more sleep in the morning to do it. 

If you want to spend more time with your family, you end up cutting some time from your “me” time so you can play with your kid or bake a cake for the family. And yet, somehow, you still find the time to do everything you want. No matter how exhausted, you may feel when you call it a day, you don’t mind as long as you have made everyone else happy. 

But how do you free yourself from all the extra things for what you consider more important? Here are some tips to help you:

Define what it is that you want in life. 

It is easy to do the things that you need to do when you know what it is that you want in your life. When you define your goals, make sure that you choose goals that are within reach. Never go for something that seems unattainable. Be careful not to overreach as this could leave you feeling exhausted, and your body might not be able to take it.

Think and reflect on what you want in life. Remember that the goal is always to strike a balance between what you want and what you can achieve at the moment. Never underestimate yourself, but never overestimate yourself either.

The biggest problem of wanting to do everything in life is that you often find yourself lost. You lose the target of what it is that you really want. You may have set goals, but if you don’t know how they would impact your life, you will end up with nothing. Write them down if you must. Allow yourself to plan ahead. Not only will it give meaning to your life, but it will make you achieve more, with much more focus and mindfulness. 

Put a system in place to help you manage your time properly. 

Your time is precious, so make sure that you use everything to your advantage. The goal is not to accomplish so many things in a day. That’s not how life works. The more meaning that you put in your tasks, the easier it will be for you to determine how much value each task has. This way, you can prioritize what is truly important and put more focus and achieve these targets. 

How do you spend the time that you have right now? Are you able to achieve more, or do you end up finishing the less critical tasks that have little to no bearing on your long-term goals? Make a list of the things you need to do. Rank them according to their importance. Lessen the distractions around you. All these could contribute to giving more value to your time. 

At the end of the day, it does not matter how much time you spent on what task or how much you learned from doing another. The goal is to help yourself find fulfillment in everything that you do. 

Life is not a contest of who achieves what first. Let yourself take its time to learn and relearn a skill or two. It is only then that you would be able to achieve something in life.
