Noah is a very interesting take on an old biblical story, that spans back much older than most are aware... That said, there is great wisdom we can gather from this film, so let's explore it!

Limitless is an interesting movie, a little bit like Lucy but less "transcendy". Yet, after watching it - we were left with a big question... Does the pill actually lead to enlightenment, or is it just a ruse for the ego?

Ah..Dr. Strange...that movie that everyone thought was going to flop cause there was no way a “spiritual superhero” would translate to the big screen...but then ended up making millions and being nominated for Academy awards….Classic. We know....its spirituality isn’t exactly hidden; in fact, it’s pretty in your face. So instead, we’re going to look at things a little differently this time around.

At its heart, Dr. Strange is a movie about surrendering to the Self. It’s about a journey of transcendent understanding that is mirrored in Stevens journey from the West to the East, yet perhaps one of the most amazing things about the movie lies in its depiction of Spirituality from a Western viewpoint or perception, and in what way that can teach us about ourselves and our relationship with such concepts.

Right from the outset, there’s some bias inherent in the name…. “Dr. Strange”..it’s not a story of science or...

For this extraordinary episode, I’ve tailed the script into three segments. The first is for everyone, whether you’ve seen the show or not, so no spoiler warnings just yet - you’re free to enjoy. Then there will be the first spoiler warning - in which I will discuss episode 1, which is a safety net for those who haven’t seen it, are curious about it, but don’t want to ruin the whole thing. As we continue exploring the Hidden Spirituality of Lord of the Rings, we come now to our curious middle-chapter of the series, The Two Towers, within which many truths are illuminated about the nature of our ego, psyche, and how we navigate through the waters of human life!

If you’re a fan of any kind of Fantasy, you undoubtedly know about Lord of the Rings, with its beautiful story, complex characters, and its imaginative and colorful world. The significance of Lord of The Rings for the fantasy and sci-fi genres as a whole cannot be understated. If you were to ask any Fantasy writer, chances are most today would cite Tolkein as an influence in some way. His worldbuilding, personalities, and character archetypes have influenced nearly every corner of literature profoundly.

To be honest, when sitting down to write this episode, it was a DAUNTING task. There’s so much in the lore of Middle Earth, including its expanded universe, where do you even start? In case you didn’t already know, not only was Tolkein influenced by many religious, spiritual, philosophical, and even metaphysical sources, but there are also numerous underlying spiritual messages in his works that hold great wisdom if you know where to look and how to apply it. Now - to start it off, the Princess Bride is a story within a story, and if we go deep enough - it’s a story within a story, inviting us to look deeper at our own lives, and to break free of the attachments to the life stories we live out on a day to day basis, and learning to identify at a higher level. But the main focus of the Princess Bride is two main points - a story of true love and all of the forms that true love manifests, and a story of sovereignty. 

On its surface, the Princess Bride appears like a fun take on the traditional “damsel in distress” narrative. Girls in Trouble, guy’s gotta rescue her. We have an almost 95% male cast in this movie - and yet the buttercups role here is foundational to the deep spiritual themes underlying this story.

Star Wars 9! End of an Era! I guess it seems like many are happy it’s over. Rotten tomatoes, 52% OOF! 

Despite that, the new films lack a cohesive plot bridging them all together, Star Wars since it’s very beginning has been steeped in spiritual symbolism, such as the name Jedi seemingly linked to the fictional Egyptian magician named Djedi, and the concept of the force itself based on Taoism. I mean, I’m not the only one who reads the Tao Te Ching and imagines Lao Tzu as a little hairy green man, right? *crickets*

So the rise of skywalker! Let’s break it down!

The movie begins with Rey meditating and gently levitating. She’s asking, “Be with me, be with me; be with me.” Calling to presumably Luke or the other Jedi to support her. Very soon, she says, “You’re not with me” with reluctance, and returns with disappointment to the...

I know what you might be thinking… The hidden spirituality of the matrix is an oxymoron - because it’s not hidden! And trust me - I get it. Even writing this script was hard, because how do we make this episode without basically just describing every scene in the movie… We could probably write an hour-long dissertation on the spiritual allusions in The Matrix and still not run out of things to talk about… 

But listen - it’s important to remember that what might be more obvious aspects of spirituality to some, maybe hidden to others. After all, this is one of the essential points of the movie. So let us get into it and see what we find!

Now, as far as I can tell, The Matrix is a documentary about real-life disguised as a sci-fi action movie! Well, okay, maybe not COMPLETELY, but like… 90%… give or take...

To me, The Matrix feels like an encoded message for humanity about the awakening process, and about what we personally go...
