Start Your Project in 20 Minutes with this Simple Trick

articles energy updates Jun 06, 2020

How do you start a project and make sure that it gets done? The importance of time management could not be emphasized more, but it is often overlooked.

It is easier to set and achieve ambitious goals when you can consistently dedicate an hour or two to it every day. But if you have more responsibilities in your hands, this task can be challenging to achieve. It seems like everyone is making no progress on their goals, and this fact can be quite depressing.

Break this cycle today.

How do you break this cycle when it comes to dealing with your biggest goals? More importantly, how do you take it on with a more counterintuitive approach? There is no need for the day to come when you would be free from doing other tasks. Instead, start by giving it 20 minutes of your time each day.

What Obstacles Get In The Way?

People say that with the right time management strategies, you can accomplish anything you want. But why is it easier for others and more challenging for you?

What is keeping you from taking action? Is it possible to overcome these obstacles too?

Overwhelming Feeling

The thought of working on a long-term goal can be a bit overwhelming. But the key to making it happen and overcoming that feeling is a start. Make one tiny action at a time. It is impossible to climb an entire mountain in a day. So take the first step today and the next one tomorrow.

Not Knowing Where To Begin

Beginnings, they say, are always the most difficult. But unless you give it a try, you’ll never really know. What truly matters is that you are taking action. The first step will only lead you to the next one. You can still change course in the middle of the journey. Do not be afraid. Change may happen along the way. Remember, the goal is to get you started.

Making The Tough Choice

When you have to make a tough choice, the best solution is to just go with your gut feeling. You might end up making the wrong choice, but it’s not the end for you. By taking action, you will be able to determine what the next move needs to bel. If you want to make a switch in the middle, go ahead and do so. Don’t let the tough choices hinder you from going for what you want.

The Desire To Make Everything Perfect

Every new project comes with its own uncertainty. Nobody can tell you how it will impact your life. But not going through it is simply an excuse. Things do not need to be perfect all the time. You just need it to get going. Work on it along the way. Pick up lessons you can keep for life. After all, that’s what taking on the new project is all about.

It’s Not the “Right Time”

There is no right time or the right moment to pursue what you want. This only causes more delays and excuses for the uncertainty and indecisiveness that you feel. Just get yourself moving, and everything will fall into place.

How Do You Get Things Done?

When it comes to effective time management, it requires a bit of clarity on your end to understand how you can get things done. Trying to get something done within 20 minutes requires a bit of consistency from you.

The secret on how to make work go by faster is pretty simple: you have to give it 20 minutes each day. You can’t skip this 20 minutes unless entirely and utterly necessary.

With this 20-minute strategy, you will make the most out of your time. How to make work go by faster, you ask? When it seems as if the work that needs to be completed is daunting, know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Are you ready to give it a try? Here are some strategies to help you get it done:

Goal: Lose Weight

It is impossible to lose weight in 20 minutes, that’s for sure. But if you dedicate 20 minutes of your day to working out, strengthening those muscles, and building on your cardio strength, you’ll start seeing results. You need to be a bit more strategic. Choose a workout routine with very minimal transitions. To save yourself more time and the most out of the 20 minutes that you have. Maybe do it right before you start work, so it’s over and done with at the beginning of the day.

Goal: Pursue Writing

You’ve always wanted to pursue creative writing. You dream of publishing your own book of short stories, but you never really got the chance to make it happen. Now you do. With 20 minutes of your time each day dedicated to writing, you can actually write what you want. You can also use this time to read. To make the most of the time that you have, think about what you want to write beforehand. This way, you can immediately start writing and won’t be left with a blank page.

Goal: Learn A New Language

This may seem too overwhelming when you think of it, but little by little, learning a new language and perhaps even mastering it can happen within 20 minutes every day. With the help of several learning apps, you can become dual or multilingual. Also, try to incorporate them into the things that you do daily. You can listen to the new vocabulary words while driving yourself to work or while you are getting ready for work in the morning.

You want to do a lot of things, but you cannot do everything all at once. Little by little, you will be able to muster up the strength and the focus needed to get things done.

Giving 20 minutes of each day to do the things that you have always wanted to do is just what you need. Go ahead and give it a try. You’ll be surprised at how much you can accomplish.
