Your life may be littered with a number of obstacles. Some things don't come easy. You often find yourself facing challenging situations that can cause you a lot of stress and anxiety. These constant negative feelings can sometimes be overwhelming, but there is one thing that remains true for everyone.
It will all be okay.
Whenever you feel like you are in control, you can't help but be proud of yourself. But how about the times when you don't feel like you are in control? What about on days when you can't help but worry about how things are going to work out?
Still, you try to push through. You tell yourself that you can move past the difficulty. Most of the time, you seek help from outside your being, thinking that other people are better at living your life than you are.
Technology has provided us with an easy way to get the answers that we need. When we have a question, we Google it, and the answer is there. But what about the questions you have about life? How do you access the inner knowledge that you have to guide you through your existence?
The truth is that it is so easy to do. Perhaps the only thing standing between ignorance and knowledge that you need is the fact that you need to be one with your inner self.
How do you find that courage to connect with yourself?
More often than not, others tell us, "always be yourself." But what if you don't know who you really are? Now, be gentle with yourself, you don't have to be perfect for anyone. Frequently, you forget about this fact and end up trying to be better for other people, and therefore give up our inner power.
What are some situations where you give up your inner power?
It's annoying whenever someone does something that does not meet your expectations. You get mad. You may even get furious. When you allow someone to affect your emotions, you hand the power to the other person to take control of your feelings. They ruin your day, and oftentimes, they do not even realize what they did.
You may associate loneliness with the idea of being alone. When you do not have someone special in your life, you feel like there is nothing in this world that could make you happy. You have allowed others to take over how you feel. You have allowed them to take away the love you could have very well given to yourself.
When you try to gain the approval of other people or want to be liked, you give away the power of loving yourself for who you are. Sadly, some people in your life do not even know that you need their validation.
Most of the time, you turn your attention and anger to your parents. You blame them for the bad things happening in your life. You blame them for feeling crappy and for feeling totally unsuccessful. You have put the power on them to be in control of your life today and in the future.
Almost each one of us gives away the power inside of us. Unknowingly, you forget about yourself. It isn't until you feel the emptiness inside that you begin to realize you have given others too much power over you.
Life is full of challenges, and oftentimes it pushes you to the limits. Remember that things cannot be rushed. Change is inevitable, and it surely does not happen fast. Learning something new will take time. Learn at your own pace. You don't have to compete with anyone else.
How do you discover the power within you? Your impatience hides the power that you have inside. The truth is that you have the knowledge within yourself. All you need is to learn how to release it.
Where do you begin?
How often do you turn to others for the solutions to the problems that you are facing? Whenever it seems like you are facing a problem that you don't know how to solve, you turn to others for help. But do you ever stop to ask yourself?
More often than not, people overlook the value of who they are and what they can do. The next time you feel like you don't know what to do, pause for a moment and ask yourself, "How would I solve this?" By doing so, you are expressing your intent to know more about your potential.
You are basically asking the universe for assistance. Soon, you will be able to open your mind to seeking beyond your previous expectations.
At this point, you may be telling yourself that it is stupid to be asking yourself the questions that you could freely ask someone who knows better. If you knew how to deal with it, then it really wouldn't be a problem.
This is your ego speaking. It is playing mind tricks on you. It is your impatience trying to win over your confidence in yourself. The old habits that you have are the ones stopping you from taking new steps. Do not be afraid of change.
After all, it is the only thing that is constant in this world. If you don't try to change for the better, you are never going to be anywhere else than where you are now.
Although this may seem like a cliche, it's still true. When you live for the moment and feel what it makes you feel, you begin to learn a lot about life and discover a lot more about yourself. When you are present in the moment, you allow the answers that you seek to come from within you.
Sit down, meditate if you must. Get yourself a cup of coffee and revel in the silence. Even if your mind is thinking about a lot of things, the quiet will be your reminder that all will be well in time. Breathe.
Whether you already have a mindfulness routine or if you already have ways to harness your inner power, try one of the above tips, and see how your life can change for the better.
