If you do, then, as you look around your life and observe people cheating, this is a reflection of some aspect of how you perceive yourself. This is reality, tough as it may seem. While there is not a right or wrong way to express your love, the more attentive we are to our own emotions, the more ability we have to be careful about that of others.
